The design area varies depending what Aida count you use and you could also use 28HPI Evenweave, you then see what the design area is and get a piece that size with extra to allow for a certain amount of border around the design. I always thought it was 5cm but have since found out that it can vary so I would Google it, for the best end result for framing
It tells you, in detail, everything that you need to complete it and looks amazing, I did plan to do it but if I live until 100 I will never finish all the kits and patterns that I have, so keep a look out for other items that I am parting with (very reluctantly)
If more than one thing on my list takes your fancy I will always combine postage
